Be a person of high Value!!

"Give every man more in use value than you take from him in cash value; then you are adding to the life of the world by every business transaction." Wallace D. Wattles.

High value companies deliver high and above more value than their customers pay for their product and/or service.
The traits these companies possess are the same traits we can apply to go further in our individual lives. High value people contribute much more to their environment (job, business, neighborhood, etc.) than their cost.
Creating companies, community organizations and using ideas that create a high intrinsic value is extremely important in America today.
Jesus provides insight into this as he ultimately had the highest value product of all, eternal life.
"Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time; houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life." Mark 10 28-30.
In other words, Jesus was saying people following Him and proclaiming His message would be popular and wealthy.
Don’t put the cart before the horse.
One of the reasons former EBay CEO Meg Whitman left her job at Hasbro to run EBay in 1998 is she saw that EBay was growing fast exponentially and organically with low overhead costs.
Below is an excerpt from an EBay press release announcing EBay's 1998 fourth quarter results.
"Increased activity on the site was the primary contributor to the increase in revenues for the quarter. Gross merchandise sales (the value of goods traded) for the current quarter were $307 million, up 57 percent from the $195 million reported in the third quarter of 1998. The number of registered users increased more than 916,000 to over 2.1 million at December 31, 1998, an increase of about 72 percent from the more than 1.2 million registered users at September 30, 1998. In addition, eBay hosted over 13.6 million auctions during the fourth quarter of 1998, up from 9.2 million in the third quarter."
Basically Ebay was growing fast with almost no overhead.
This is what helped make EBay a billion dollar company and the same concept can help us become billion dollar people.
The more people use our products and services in an efficient manner, the wealthier we become.
As an employee, student, politician or business owner it is important to be a person of high value and deliver a high value product.
Ultimately, that high value product is ourselves.
Exponential growth is one of the common trademarks of billion dollar companies in the United States. As an individual, exponential growth is important internally as well as externally.
For example, one can achieve exponential growth internally through internalizing a large amount of wisdom and information. One can achieve exponential growth externally through increasing the number of valuable relationships we have.
Successful people have high integrity. My own set of guidelines is these two greatest commandments as well as following the ten commandments. This helps set my own integrity to a high level and increases the integrity of the people I'm around.
It is important to be around people more successful than myself so I can grow and get to a higher level in life.
For example, Beyonce Knowles was one of the highest grossing female artist in the country last year taking in about 87 million dollars. She would not have been able to achieve that level of success if her father hadn't mentored her. Her father had been a top salesman at Xerox, which is known to have one of the top sales training programs in the world. She learned from him and he has imparted a lot of knowledge to her. Helping her get to where she is today.
She is "standing on the shoulders of giants" as sir Isaac Newton once said.
When we seek out mentorship or knowledge from people that have success in an area we want to be successful in, we too are standing on the shoulders of giants.
We should actively seek out insight from people that are more successful than us and have experienced success in arenas we would like to be successful in.
Continuously seeking out how to increase our value allows us to add value to the world many times over.
